The SheTrades Mauritius Hub in collaboration with DHL is conducting the Go Trade Training Programme for women-led businesses. The program is designed to equip participants with critical knowledge, skills, and resources for international market expansion by leveraging DHL’s extensive expertise in logistics and global trade operations.

Objectives
This programme is designed to prepare women entrepreneurs towards exports by empowering them with:
- Increased Knowledge: Provide women entrepreneurs with knowledge on export readiness, international trade regulations, and logistics management.
- Skill Development in Logistics and Export: Support women-led businesses to learn about logistics supply chain and export including customs clearance processes.
- Networking: Foster partnerships and networks with key stakeholders in the logistics and export sectors, facilitating direct mentorship and support for women entrepreneurs.

Akhtar Parwez Bhoyroo
Akhtar joined DHL Express in Mauritius in 2015 as a Field Sales Executive, bringing 9 years of experience in managing a diverse portfolio of customers across various industries, including Textile, Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, and Food Manufacturing.
He is well-versed in the guidelines for transporting Dangerous Goods (DG), such as lithium batteries, chemical substances, healthcare products, and cold chain logistics. Akhtar is committed to understanding his customers’ businesses to become their trusted logistics advisor, leveraging his extensive knowledge of logistics and supply chain management to provide tailored solutions.
Joan Soobroydoo
Joan has been a dedicated Retail Executive at DHL (Mauritius) Ltd for 11 years, where she oversees the daily operations of retail locations, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. In her role, she manages the customer experience and actively promotes DHL’s products and services, primarily to cash customers. Joan is committed to ensuring trade compliance globally and nationally, firmly in line with company standards. She collaborates with various teams to enhance overall efficiency and service quality.
Ashika Romero
Ashika is a seasoned logistics professional with over 15 years of comprehensive experience in shipping and logistics. Currently serving as the Head of Products for DGF AfricaConnect at DHL Global Forwarding Mauritius Ltd, she manages stakeholder relationships to enhance product offerings across Africa. With a strong commercial focus, Ashika leads the pricing structure supporting destination services for 30 countries, including Mauritius, where she is responsible for sourcing, securing, and negotiating competitive pricing while designing innovative solutions tailored to the unique logistics challenges of the region.
