Mrs Deepta Soodaye, a dedicated member of the SheTrades Mauritius Hub since 2023.
Empowered by the Hub’s capacity building , export-readiness and market access programmes, she began exporting crafted bags and cushion covers to Reunion Island since 2024, showcasing Mauritian craftmanship beyond borders.
With confirmed orders from Seychelles, she is set to start exporting to the island by February 2026. As her brand steadily expands its footprint across the region, she has also diversified her product range to include ready-made clothing.
Her entrepreneurial spirit continues to open new opportunities, with promising negotiations currently underway in South Africa.
Each milestone reflects her determination and commitment in strengthening her socio-economic independence while contributing to a more inclusive environment.
