The fifth and final session of the Financial Literacy Programme focuses on Taxation Awareness and Compliance for Women-Led Businesses. This session aims to equip women entrepreneurs with a better understanding of the taxation framework, their obligations as business owners, and the importance of effective tax planning in supporting sustainable business growth.
The session will provide practical guidance on key taxation concepts, including business tax obligations, registration requirements, record keeping, filing procedures, available incentives and deductions, and the importance of maintaining proper financial documentation. It will also highlight how sound tax management contributes to business credibility, financial discipline and long-term sustainability.

Amit Gupta
Founder and Group Chairman of AMG Group
Amit Gupta is the Founder and Group Chairman of AMG Group, a Mauritius-based advisory and licensed management company specialising in cross-border investments, international taxation, corporate governance, legal advisory and regulatory solutions. With nearly three decades of professional experience, he advises multinational corporations, sovereign wealth funds, listed companies, financial institutions and family offices on complex transactions and strategic investments across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
A Chartered Accountant and Law Graduate from India, Amit previously held senior leadership positions with Abax Corporate Services and global professional services firms including PwC, KPMG and EY, where he advised on mergers and acquisitions, international tax structuring, corporate restructuring and high-profile tax litigation.
Beyond his executive role, Amit serves as Chairman, Executive Director and Independent Director on the boards and board committees of several listed companies, banking institutions, aviation, mining and investment groups. His expertise spans corporate governance, audit oversight, risk management, cross-border structuring and strategic decision-making.
A respected speaker and thought leader, Amit regularly addresses industry forums on corporate governance, international taxation, regulatory developments, cross-border investments and the evolving global business landscape. He has contributed to policy discussions through industry associations and currently serves as Secretary of the Indian Business Council in Mauritius.
Kailash
Kailash holds an MBA in Financial Risk Management and is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He started his career in 2004 as a junior auditor at BDO DCDM. He then progressed to team leader and accountant positions at local companies. At Dolberg Group, he became CFO of the leasing arm before founding Infinitas Cliens Focus Accounting Services in 2012.
Currently, he holds board roles and consults on finance for various Group companies.
