A Mauritius-headquartered leadership development and human-capital firm and a member of the SheTrades Mauritius Hub, Talent Lab International officially launched its Rwandan operations on 11 September 2026 at the Kigali Marriott Hotel, following its participation in the Hub-to-Hub Export Promotion Mission to Kigali in May 2026.
The mission organised in May 2026 by the Economic Development Board (EDB), host institution of the SheTrades Mauritius Hub; the Private Sector Federation (PSF) specialised cluster, host institution of the SheTrades Rwanda Hub; and the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) was designed to create direct connections between women-led businesses from Mauritius and their Rwandan counterparts, while opening pathways for commercial partnerships and access to the Rwandan market.
For Talent Lab International, the engagement provided an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s business environment and its growing demand for leadership and people-development solutions. The mission subsequently translated into a concrete business opportunity, with the company establishing a permanent presence in Kigali and recruiting a local team to provide leadership and human-capital development services.
The expansion of Talent Lab International into Rwanda marks a tangible achievement emerging from the SheTrades Mauritius Hub-to-Hub Export Promotion Mission, demonstrating how targeted internationalisation initiatives can support women-led businesses in moving from market exploration and business connections to establishing a presence in a new market.
Founder, Mrs Adilla Diouman Mosafeer, said the decision to establish in Rwanda was driven by the strength and potential of the country’s workforce. She highlighted
“Rwanda has a strong workforce and real capability. What a fast-growing economy needs is a structured way of moving that capability up through the organisation, so the next director comes from inside the institution. That is the one important thing we are here to do.”
The company is registered with the Rwanda Development Board and now operates from a permanent base in Kigali with a locally recruited team. Mrs Mosafeer said further research into Rwanda’s Vision 2050 reinforced her view that Talent Lab International’s work aligns with the country’s focus on human-capital development and on building the capabilities required to support long-term economic growth.
The journey from mission participant to investor demonstrates the potential of Hub-to-Hub engagement to move beyond networking and generate concrete business outcomes, including new market entry and international expansion for Mauritius-based women entrepreneurs.
Talent Lab International’s offer is built around a methodology combining leadership development, coaching, profiling and human-capital development, rather than a conventional catalogue of courses. Its programmes are grounded in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and the Neuro-Linguistic Enneagram, a profiling approach used to explore how individuals think, make decisions and behave under pressure.
As a team of internationally certified coaches and trainers, the firm also works with Hogan Assessments and Career Connections to provide customised leadership assessments and psychometric testing.
The firm operates in partnership with Mind Transformations, a Singapore-based institute founded in 1997 by NLP master trainer Barney Wee. The institute has trained more than 4,000 professionals across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Mauritius, working with organisations across sectors including banking and financial services, technology, government, logistics and professional services.
Through this partnership, Talent Lab International brings internationally accredited coaching and NLP practitioner certification to Kigali, creating access to specialised professional development opportunities within the Rwandan market.
The firm also offers academic pathways through Ducere Global Business School, whose programmes are delivered in partnership with universities in the United Kingdom, Australia and Europe.
Mrs Mosafeer further explained that Talent Lab International’s approach begins with helping individuals understand themselves before developing their leadership capabilities.
“We work on the individual to help the individual understand themselves better. And then the leadership training comes through,” she said. “We build that self-understanding, that compassion from within, before we take that person into the external environment.”
Talent Lab International is entering Rwanda at a time when workplaces are becoming increasingly complex and technology, particularly artificial intelligence, is reshaping jobs and organisational structures. Referring to the concepts of VUCA – volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity – and BANI – brittle, anxious, non-linear and incomprehensible, Mrs Mosafeer said organisations need leadership approaches that recognise the changing nature of work.
