The SheTrades Mauritius Hub, hosted by the Economic Development Board, conducted a capacity-building program on 18th October 2024, with two officials from the Commission for Industrial Development of the Rodrigues Regional Assembly.
The objective of this Capacity Building Program was to provide the officials from Rodrigues with deeper insights into the role of the SheTrades Mauritius Hub and the opportunities available to women-led businesses.
They also had the opportunity to learn about various schemes managed by the EDB, including the ITC Trade Map tool. Additionally, the officials participated in a brainstorming session organized in collaboration with experienced women entrepreneurs from Mauritius. This exposure is expected to enhance service delivery and lead to better outcomes for the women entrepreneurs of Rodrigues, in preparation for the implementation of the two-year action plan for women-led businesses.
This program is in continuity with the field study mission organized by SheTrades Mauritius Hub in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme to Rodrigues in August 2024 towards the common objective of empowering women entrepreneurs in the Republic of Mauritius.
