Trade Beyond Borders Training programme – Session 1

The successful launch of the ‘Trade Beyond Borders’ training programme on 17th March 2025 by Honourable Dhaneshwar Damry, Junior Minister of Finance, marked a significant milestone in empowering women entrepreneurs in international trade.

The first session, held on 20th March 2025 focused on eCommerce and attracted a highly engaged audience. Participants showed much enthusiasm and eagerness to deepen their knowledge in this dynamic sector.

The training sessions were led DHL experts, Ms Fazillah Tajoo and Mr Akhtar Parwez Bhoyroo. The interactive sessions sparked insightful discussions and provided valuable takeaways. Attendees left feeling motivated, confident, and empowered to scale their businesses beyond borders.

The key areas addressed were:

  • The eCommerce Value Chain: Understanding how motivated sellers, excellent service quality, and customer loyalty drive profitability.
  • Customer Perspective & Market Behaviour: The importance of targeting the right audience and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Emerging eCommerce Trends: With over 2 billion online buyers, digital trade is expanding rapidly, offering new opportunities for businesses.
  • Types of eCommerce: Exploring B2B, B2C, C2B, and C2C models and their applications.

This training allowed women entrepreneurs to deepen their understanding of eCommerce and prepare for accessing the global market.
