Mr Girish Ramjuttun
CEO & Co-Founder, Passage Export Group
Mr Girish Ramjuttun is the CEO and Co-Founder of Passage Export Group, a Mauritius-based food export infrastructure company launched during the International Women’s Day event at the Economic Development Board of Mauritius.
Passage builds the systems that prepare verified Mauritian producers for international markets: supplier verification, export coordination, compliance infrastructure, and market intelligence across Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and France.
Girish brings 14 years of direct export experience as Group CEO of Lakaz Mama, a highly established Mauritian food distribution network in Australia. From a single garage in Melbourne in 2011, Lakaz Mama grew to 60+ stores across five Australian states, with more than 100 containers shipped.
His work focuses on food export infrastructure, market compliance and cuisine demand development, with a focus on building the commercial architecture for Mauritian cuisine to reach international markets at scale.
Ms Jessica Naga
Group Chief Executive Officer, MINDEX Group
Ms Naga is the Group CEO of MINDEX, a regulated Virtual Assets investment ecosystem; She is also a Qualified Barrister from England & Wales and Mauritius with over 22 years of practice and the President of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) of Mauritius.
In 2020, Jessica was the laureate of Women In Africa 54 (WIA 54) in the digital sphere, and in 2021 and 2022, formed part of the 100 International Women in FinTech Power list of Innovate Finance, UK.
She was also the winner of the Most Innovative FinTech CEO 2024 award, by APAC Insider Magazine. In January 2025, she won the Crypto Infrastructure CEO of 2024 award for Africa.
Mr Samim Mohabuth
Head of Technology, Mindex Group
Mr Samim Parveez Mohabuth is a Mauritius-based technology professional with a legal background, founder of The Hub Business Solutions Ltd, and Head of Technology at Mindex. He is also involved in ventures such as channelnews.mu, a leading online news portal. With expertise across software engineering, fintech and law, he has led innovative digital solutions in financial services, logistics and e-commerce. He has contributed to blockchain platforms, digital asset infrastructure, and SaaS ecosystems within regulated environments. Samim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and a Graduate Diploma in Law, with a strong interest in AI, blockchain and global innovation ecosystems.
Mrs Sachita Jawaheer
Ag. Senior Scientific Officer – National Plant Protection Office (NPPO), Ministry of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries
Mrs Sachita Jawaheer serves as Ag. Senior Scientific Officer at the National Plant Protection Office (NPPO), which operates under the Plant Protection Act 2006 regulating the import and export of plants, plant parts and plant products for phytosanitary purposes.
With over 24 years of experience in plant health related to international trade, she has worked extensively on pest risk assessment for importation, post-entry surveillance, and import-export control. She has also contributed to the implementation of several bilateral and multilateral agreements related to the trade of agricultural products.
Mr Chundunsing Baichoo
Head of Chemical Unit, Mauritius Standards Bureau
Mr Chundunsing Baichoo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, a Master’s degree in Quality Management and an LLM in Company Law and Governance.
He currently serves at the Mauritius Standards Bureau (MSB), specialising in food testing, quality and food safety management systems, and laboratory management systems. He is also a Technical Assessor for the Mauritius Accreditation Services (MAURITAS), an MQA-qualified trainer, and an auditor for quality and food safety systems. Mr Baichoo has also advised ministries on matters related to product specifications, quality and standards in the drafting of regulations.
Mr S.P. Kanaksabee
Head of Quality Assurance Unit, Mauritius Standards Bureau
Mr Kanaksabee is an accomplished Management and Quality Leader with significant experience across the full scope of organisational excellence, organisational development, budgeting, marketing, training, talent management, performance management, employee and leadership development, employee retention and engagement.
He has been actively involved in Standards Development Activities at national, regional and international levels at the Mauritius Standards Bureau. This has been through participation in Standards Development and Promotion activities with organisation such as ISO, SADC, COMESA and ARSO.
He possesses an MBA from Coventry University, UK, an MSc from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi as well as a BSC (Hons.) Chemistry amongst else.
Ms Theesa Auckloo
Lead, SME Mauritius
Ms Auckloo holds a Bsc (Hons) in Production & Operations and an MBA(General).
Her area of expertise at the SME Mauritius is in Business Consultancy Project Management.
