The Economic Development Board (EDB), host institution of the ITC SheTrades Mauritius Hub, has the pleasure to invite you to a workshop in celebration of International Women’s Day entitled “She Exports: Unlocking Global Markets for Mauritian Entrepreneurs”, scheduled to be held on 10 March 2026 at the Auditorium of the EDB Head Office, Ebene.
About the Workshop
This high-level event aims to empower Mauritian women entrepreneurs by strengthening their export readiness and supporting their integration into international markets. The workshop will provide practical insights on global market access, scaling strategies, and sustainable business growth.
The event will be graced by the presence of The Honourable Dhaneshwar Damry, Junior Minister, Ministry of Finance, Republic of Mauritius, who will address participants and emphasise the importance of women’s economic empowerment in advancing national development.

- Mrs Sachita Jawaheer
Ag. Senior Scientific Officer – National Plant Protection Office (NPPO), Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security
Mrs Sachita Jawaheer serves as Ag. Senior Scientific Officer at the National Plant Protection Office (NPPO), which operates under the Plant Protection Act 2006 regulating the import and export of plants, plant parts and plant products for phytosanitary purposes.
With over 24 years of experience in plant health related to international trade, she has worked extensively on pest risk assessment for importation, post-entry surveillance, and import-export control. She has also contributed to the implementation of several bilateral and multilateral agreements related to the trade of agricultural products.
- Mrs Raksha Sarjua
Chief Executive Officer – Conserverie Sarjua International Ltée
Mrs Raksha Sarjua is the Chief Executive Officer of Conserverie Sarjua International Ltée, a Mauritian agro-processing company founded by her father, Mr Danesswar Sarjua, more than three decades ago. The company produces traditional Mauritian food products including pickles (achards), condiments, spices, herbal teas and gluten-free flours.
Since assuming leadership in 2024, she has been driving the modernisation and expansion of the family business, focusing on strengthening quality standards, developing new products, and positioning Mauritian food products for international markets.
She brings over 25 years of experience in the food industry, with professional exposure in the United Kingdom, East Africa and Mauritius in areas such as research and development, marketing, quality management and operations. She holds a BSc in Food Manufacture, Management & Marketing from the University of Reading (UK) and an MBA from the University of Mauritius.
- Mrs Farzana Mouratsing
Business Development Manager (Projects and Logistics) – Velogic Ltd
Mrs Farzana Mouratsing has over 25 years of experience in the supply chain and logistics industry. Her expertise includes freight forwarding, transportation management, warehousing solutions and customs brokerage services.
Throughout her career, she has worked with a diverse portfolio of regional and international organisations, contributing to the optimisation of logistics processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. She is also actively involved in knowledge sharing through workshops and training sessions aimed at strengthening industry capabilities and promoting sustainable logistics practices.
- Mr Chundunsing Baichoo
Head of Chemical Unit – Mauritius Standards Bureau
Mr Chundunsing Baichoo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, a Master’s degree in Quality Management, and an LLM in Company Law and Governance.
He currently serves at the Mauritius Standards Bureau (MSB), specialising in food testing, quality and food safety management systems, and laboratory management systems. He is also a Technical Assessor for the Mauritius Accreditation Services (MAURITAS), an MQA-qualified trainer, and an auditor for quality and food safety systems. Mr Baichoo has also advised ministries on matters related to product specifications, quality and standards in the drafting of regulations.
