The SheTrades Movement
The ITC SheTrades initiative, launched in 2015, operates through decentralized platforms called ITC SheTrades Hubs.
Each hub serves as a crucial resource centre where women entrepreneurs can access training on key topics, gain market insights, explore trade and investment opportunities, and benefit from gender-inclusive policies.
With a network of 18 hubs, women-led businesses also have the opportunity for peer-to-peer learning.

ITC SheTrades Hubs
Co-implemented by ITC SheTrades and national and regional institutions, SheTrades Hubs serve as resource centres for women-led businesses, policymakers, business support organizations and private-sector partners to improve the business support ecosystem and foster a community of partners to enable women’s success in trade.

“I was part of the Mauritian delegation from She Trades / EDB attending the ABSA Inspire Me Conference in Nairobi Kenya earlier this year. As a Neuro Linguistic Enneagram Personality profiler and NLP Coach, with a purely local focus, I felt it important to explore the possibility of entering foreign markets. The trip gave me more than that. I managed to engage into collaborative discussions with three Kenyan companies, run trial testing as well as find a potential venue partner for HR Café. We are also exploring partnerships and expanding our lines of collaboration with participants in neighbouring countries as well. On Tuesday, 27 August, around 30 Rodriguan women entrepreneurs participated in a full-day workshop on the SheTrades initiative, co-organized by UNDP Mauritius, the Economic Development Board Mauritius, and the Rodrigues Regional Assembly (RRA).
